Adderley Park station has reopened, following an incident at the station earlier today (16 Jan). The station was closed for a number of hours and reopened at around 1730.

Adderley Park station will be closed until further notice, following an incident at the station this afternoon. Trains between Birmingham New Street, Northampton and London Euston are also being delayed or cancelled as a result.

London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway customers have donated over £7000 of delay repay claims to support life saving work across the rail network. The train operators set up the ‘Donate your Delay Repay’ scheme in December 2017 and the initiative has raised £7,186 for Samaritans in its first year.

Passengers using Birmingham’s Snow Hill Station are to get a new entrance so they can switch seamlessly between local rail and tram services. London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway are advising passengers to plan ahead and check before they travel this Christmas. Amended timetables will be in place from Monday 24 December until Tuesday 1 January, with a reduced service on some routes. Network Rail will also be carrying out planned improvement works at London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street during this time.
