West Midlands Railway to provide free train travel to competitors at this year's British Transplant Games

West Midlands Railway is offering free train travel between Birmingham New Street and University stations to over 2,500 competitors at this year’s British Transplant Games. The annual event is taking place from Thursday 2 until Sunday 5 August across Birmingham. Transplant recipients of all ages will participate in a variety of sports, to celebrate the life-changing impact of organ donation..

West Coast main line train passengers are being urged to avoid all but essential rail travel to and from London over three consecutive weekends in August and September when Euston station will be closed. As part of Britain’s Railway Upgrade Plan, Network Rail is replacing North Wembley junction - a major intersection on Europe’s busiest mixed-use railway.
