Get on the right track to Cosford Air Show

West Midlands Railway and Arriva Trains Wales are working together to support Cosford Air Show visitors. Customers will be able to take advantage of combined event and rail tickets as well as extra trains.

On Sunday 10 June, rail passengers travelling to the show will be able to enjoy discounted admission when purchasing travel tickets to Cosford. Admission for adults will be priced at £25, a saving of £4 on the standard ticket price, and entry for children is free.

West Midlands Railway will also be helping customers to enjoy the air show with additional Sunday services to Cosford station, providing easy access to the showground which is located just a few minutes’ walk away.

The West Midlands Railway services stopping at Cosford are:

  • Birmingham New Street - Cosford – dep. 0930hrs arr. 1014hrs
  • Wolverhampton - Cosford – dep. 1035hrs arr. 1100hrs
  • Wolverhampton - Cosford – dep. 1149hrs arr. 1211hrs
  • Cosford - Wolverhampton – dep. 1630hrs arr. 1650hrs
  • Cosford - Wolverhampton – 1659hrs arr. 1712hrs
  • Cosford – Wolverhampton – 1749hrs arr. 1806hrs
  • Cosford – Birmingham New Street – 1825hrs arr. 1916hrs

Further additional services will be operated by Arriva Trains Wales. The combined event and rail tickets can be used on all publicly advertised trains calling at Cosford.

The rail operator will be further celebrating the event by running a social media competition to win tickets for show and rail travel and a giveaway of West Midland Railway branded binoculars on the day.

Richard Brooks, customer experience director at West Midlands Railway, commented: “Cosford Air Show is one of the country’s top aviation events, attracting thousands of spectators of all ages every year.

“By providing these combined tickets and additional rail services, we’re aiming to make customers’ journey to show as hassle-free as possible, helping them to enjoy an exciting day out at a reduced price.”
