Snow Update: West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway
West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway are advising customers to check for latest journey information before travelling on the network this morning.
Snow and freezing weather overnight have caused problems with the track in some areas, meaning that trains are unable to be released from certain depots early this morning. We are also experiencing problems open frozen doors on a small number of trains, impacting some services.
As a result there will be a significantly reduced service this morning on the following lines:
- West Midlands Railway services between Lichfield and Redditch via Birmingham (the 'Cross City' line);
- West Midlands Railway services between Birmingham, Worcester and Hereford;
- London Northwestern Railway services between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey (which will be replaced by road transport until further notice).
There will also be a number of other cancelled trains around our networks.
