The station will be welcoming a range of local choirs onto the concourse on the run up to Christmas, to entertain passengers and help raise funds for important local causes.

    Passengers advised to check before they travel this Christmas

    London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway are advising passengers to plan ahead and check before they travel this Christmas. Amended timetables will be in place from Monday 24 December until Tuesday 1 January, with a reduced service on some routes. Network Rail will also be carrying out planned improvement works at London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street during this time.

    London Northwestern Railway has been recognised for contributing to life saving work across the rail network. The train operator is part of the Milton Keynes Escalation Team, who won ‘Rail Safety Team of the Year’ at the 2018 Railstaff Awards.

    London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway services may be subject to alterations until the end of service today (29 Nov). A speed limit of 50-mph was in force until around 12.45 this afternoon. Network Rail put the temporary limit in place because of high winds, as storm Diana passed across the country.

Until May 2019, platforms 10 and 11 will undergo a multi-million-pound overhaul to accommodate longer trains, helping to improve passengers’ journeys on the West Coast main line in and out of London Euston.

    London Northwestern Railway has won this year’s Golden Spanner award for the most reliable First Generation Electric Multiple Unit in the UK. The accolade was awarded to the Siemens 350/3 units, which are part of a fleet that operates over 80 services a day to and from London Euston.

    Black Friday shoppers advised to plan ahead this weekend

    As shoppers head out for Black Friday bargains, passengers travelling by train are advised to plan ahead allow extra time for their journeys. On Black Friday last year more than 242,000 people used Birmingham New Street station - 70,000 more than a usual Friday. Birmingham Snow Hill and stations across the West Midlands are also expected to see large numbers of people over the next few days.

    Design ideas invited for Wolverhampton station hoarding

    West Midlands Railway staff at Wolverhampton station are looking for a design to go on the hoarding in the waiting room on platform one. Work is currently ongoing to build a £150 million transport hub on the site of the current station. Once complete, this will become a major interchange for train, bus and tram services across the city and wider West Midlands region.
