Press release -
West Midlands Railway passengers reminded timetables will change this weekend
Passengers travelling with West Midlands Railway are being reminded that timetable changes come into effect this weekend.
From Sunday 15th December, WMR will be making minor changes to some services, including between Hereford and Birmingham.
An additional hourly train service between Birmingham New Street and Liverpool Lime Street will also become available. Operated by WMR’s sister company, London Northwestern Railway, the service will include a stop at Mossley Hill, bringing the first direct line from Mossley Hill to Birmingham in decades.
Jonny Wiseman, customer experience director for West Midlands Railway, said: “Timetables are changing from this Sunday, so I urge passengers to check journey planners before travelling. Multiple routes will be subject to minor changes, with additional services made available on some lines.”
All rail passengers are encouraged to check their journeys as new departure times will apply on many routes across the region. The changes come as part of the twice-yearly rail industry timetable change.
A summary of the changes is available to view at www.wmr.uk/dec24
