    West Midlands Railway staff at Wolverhampton station are looking for a design to go on the hoarding in the waiting room on platform one. Work is currently ongoing to build a £150 million transport hub on the site of the current station. Once complete, this will become a major interchange for train, bus and tram services across the city and wider West Midlands region.

Small Talk Saves Lives is a joint partnership between Network Rail, Samaritans, the British Transport Police and the wider rail industry, including train operators.

    As part of an open day being held at Kidderminster Station today (Tuesday 6 November), a new artist's impression on how the station will look as been revealed by Worcestershire County Council and partners. The new image shows the improved forecourt and Comberton Hill layouts and also shows how the new glazed, station building will look once completed.

    Rail passengers at Longbridge are being advised to allow more time and plan ahead, as work begins on the £1.7 million refurbishment programme at the station. Passengers will benefit from upgraded facilities, which are being delivered by Network Rail and funded by Birmingham City Council.

    Vivarail has informed London Northwestern Railway that there will be a delay in delivering the Class 230 units for the Marston Vale line. Due to technical issues with the first train the knock-on effect means the three will not be ready in time.

    Commuters at Birmingham Snow Hill are being encouraged to consider safety and security on railway this week, as an interactive roadshow heads to the station. London Northwestern Railway’s revenue and security team will be joining colleagues from the British Transport Police, Network Rail and others for the event, which is taking place on the station concourse.

    There will be additional carriages on many London Northwestern Railway services to and from Liverpool this weekend, as Giants parade through the city for the third and final time. From Thursday 4 until Sunday 7 October, the world-famous street theatre company Royal de Luxe , from Nantes, will visit both Liverpool and Wirral.
